This is a novel about the impossibility to have our own novel. The life of a man suddenly fails. He tries to tell their existence, but it has eluded him and blends into the natural history of the toilet, fly, and bee. His life mysteriously coincided with the fate of other two characters - one editor (his namesake) and a gardener (naturalist).
