The new novel “The Clay King”, which brought to its author Dobromir Baichev the grand prize of the 10th literature competition “Razvitie”, is now printed out.

“Strong, dense, infatuating, “The Clay King” by Dobromir Boichev throws us in one of the most nightmarish places in Bulgaria – Belene concentration camp. And in an unexpected manner takes us out of there – outside of the horrors and the brutalization – by the irrational thread, which saves the person – regardless of his impossible reality, the fatal personal destiny and the inescapable grip of the system.” – the editor Elka Dimitrova says in the novel’s annotation.

The jury of the competition – professor Ivailo Znepolski, associate professor Boiko Penchev and Georgi Gospodinov, unanimously decided, that “The Clay King” is the winner among more than 45 manuscripts, which participated in the 10th edition of the literature competition.

Soon the novel will take its way to the book stands and book shops for its official premiere.

This is, of course, not all. Very soon the novels “Extreme – a rock story with a bus” by Ivan Stoilov and “National Treasure” by Dimitar Todorov, which shared the special prize of the competition, will hit the book market. By the end of this year Razvitie will also release the three other books, that reached the final but missed the prizes. This is done upon the recommendation of the jury that stated the very high quality of the novels and the tough competition.

The readers will have the possibility to get familiar with all the six books that reached the final of the Razvitie Competition for Unpublished Novel during the Christmas Book Festival which will take place in the National Palace of Culture 11th until the 16th of December 2018.
