Corporation "Razvitie" has reached a new "peak" in its charity work. Following the unique for Bulgaria, Volleyball Scout League, the corporation can now congratulate itself on supporting and co-organizing the biggest sports event with a charity cause.
As a general sponsor, "Razvitie" has partnered with the Ministry of Interior Sports Association and the Bulgarian Mini-Football Association in organizing the National Mini-Football Tournament for employees of the Ministry of the Interior.
For more than a month, in 12 cities in our country, over 50 teams from the Ministry of the Interior played for the "Razvitie" Cup. Nearly 1,000 Interior Ministry officials participated in this grand competition, the noble cause of which was to raise funds for the children of fallen or injured Interior Ministry employees.
The finals, featuring the winners of the 12 tournaments, were held at the "Bauhaus" Arena in Sofia, on the eve of the Ministry of the Interior Holiday . The extreme contestation of the matches was reflected in the final match with which the Kardzhali Regional Police Team won the "Razvitie" Cup after winning a penalty shootout over their colleagues from the Regional Police Department of Stara Zagora.
The whole event also happened with the special support of the partners and friends of "Razvitie" - "Enekod" AD and Mrs. Nelly Beshirova, CCB Sila, the insurance broker "Mussala" and notary Vesela Ivcheva.
The cups and medals were handed over to the winning teams by the CEO Alexander Alexandrov, CCB "Sila" Executive Director Georgi Todorov, Sports Minister Advisor Gosho Ginchev and MoI Sports Association Chairman Chavdar Atanasov.
Starting next week, Alexander Alexandrov will announce the amount raised by sponsors and volunteers who assisted during the 12 tournaments and finals. The money will be transferred to an account in a special fund set up by the Ministry of the Interior to help the children of deceased and injured employees of the agency.
Regardless, even now, it can be said that a large number of donors have responded to this noble cause. In many places, the funds raised by the MoI staff and football fans have been doubled by local mini-football associations.
The expectation is that this tournament will become traditional and grow more and more from which not only the sports but charities are growing as well - one of the main goals of "Razvitie".
