Successful corporations have a duty to society and should therefore support charity causes and donate, especially when it comes to children.
Said Alexander Aleksandrov, the head of the “Razvitie” Corporation, who won the charity auction, organized by FC “Lokomotiv” Sofia 1929.
At a formal ceremony in Sofia, the President of “Lokomotiv” – Ivan Vassilev handed to Alexandrov the unique sportswear of Hristo Stoichkov with signatures of big football names. The General Manager won the tender for the shirt, raising the given sum up to 15,000 Bulgarian leva.
With these funds, young players from the 2005 DUOS club of “Lokomotiv” (SF) will be able to travel to the Gothenburg International Gymnastics Tournament in Sweden where 1600 teams from 80 countries will gather this year.
“For 20 years I have been supporting children's sport.” said Alexandrov, who is currently the general sponsor of the spectacular Volleyball Scout League.
He expressed his confidence in Minister Krasen Kralev's new sports law, which would contribute to better regulate business-sport relations in terms of donation. “It is important to adopt a good law on sport that permanently regulates the cooperation between sport, corporations and big companies.” Alexandrov is convinced.
The General Manager of “Razvitie” has revealed that he and his partners are preparing the creation of an administrative structure that will be able to support children's collective teams in the long run.
“Lokomotiv's” president Ivan Vassilev called Alexandrov “Lokomotiv's big friend”, who doesn’t make such gestures for the first time, not only towards football but also towards the sport as a whole.
The director of the children and teen school of football – Ivaylo Pargov, revealed that his parents told him how the children from the team leaving for the “Gothic Cup” could not sleep with excitement and impatience to participate in the tournament.
“You made a great investment in the future of “Lokomotiv” Sofia.” turned Pargov to Alexandrov and thanked him on behalf of the children and the whole club, because what was done was something unique in his words.
